I'm taking a short break from my GIANT cleaning project to post about this weekend. Kyle and I have had a great weekend with a visit from Grammy and Granddad. As could be expected, they could not wait to get their hands on their favorite grandchild! We had lots of fun going shopping, running errands, and just hanging around the house watching sports. Kyle was such a good boy for his grandparents. Here are some of my favorite pictures from this weekend:
Kyle's looking off camera in the picture below because right at the moment that my mom took the picture, the kitty walked by! Kyle is starting to become a HUGE fan of the kitty...although she is not a huge fan of him!
Okay, back to the grind for me. My parents left this morning, and I have taken it upon myself to clean the entire house, top to bottom. I have been at it since 8:00 a.m. this morning. Here's some, but not all, of what I've done so far:
1. Cleaned up my entire bedroom, including folding and putting away two loads of laundry and going through the giant pile of magazines and books next to my bed and throwing away half of everything (it was painful);
2. Cleaned out my office and threw away three trash bags full of old junk mail, old papers, old books, and general detritus (yes, I shredded the sensitive documents first). (Yes, there were a few gems that I just could not bear to part with. I'll have to post about those later);
3. Vacuumed out my office (sounds easy, but was hard, the carpet was so dirty it required two passes! Yuck!);
4. Cleaned and did laundry for the guest room;
5. Febreezed the living crap out of the entire downstairs to create a clean, spring-like fresh scent.
The next items on my agenda include cleaning out underneath my bathroom counter and possibly organizing my scrapbook table. My closet needs work, too...but I think that's an entire day's worth of organizing all by itself! Haha!
