I caught a leprechaun, everyone!

This morning was the "Come Catch A Leprechaun" run in Henderson. Are you ready for the big news? I finished in 25:52, which was a new personal best for me!! My old time was 27:46, which I ran on February 14. So I cut my time by almost two minutes! I feel very excited about that. I definitely pushed myself more this time than last, and I was hurting at the end, but it feels good to see improvement in such a short period of time. I also was the first-place finisher for the women in my age group (35-39).

Here's a picture of the award:

PROPS also go to Etta who was nice enough to watch Kyle while I ran. When I got back to the house, I was just chatting with her and finding out how things went, and Kyle walked over to the piano in the living room. He just boosted himself up onto the seat, opened up the cover, and starting plunking away. Do I have a potential piano virtuoso on my hands? I couldn't resist snapping a picture:

Okay, I am off to get ready while Kyle takes a nap. Then, we have tons of errands to do today. We hope that everyone has a great Saturday!

Congrats again on your super improvement in your running. It's a great stress reducer besides lots of other benefits. Wish I could still run! That Kyle is so cute sitting at the piano, too. What a little peanut!!

Way to go on your race! I can't believe you could train for that with everything else you've been doing! I think Kyle's just about ready for piano lessons - his form is obviously advanced! His dad took lessons for a couple of months. We finally cancelled when he started hiding when it was time for his lesson.

That's awesome! Beating your time by that much! And congrats on taking first place! That is SO awesome! No matter how sore you are, I bet it was worth it! AND Kyle looks SO cute on the piano! I'm jealous! I want a black grand piano! I love it! I'm teaching Talia and Braden piano right now.
