Washington, D.C. and the Nationals game

Here's another set of highlights from Washington, D.C. and the Nationals game from last week. First, on the way into town, we caught up with Jeff's cousin Larry, who is a mail carrier in Gaithersburg. He is so funny! Those two make quite the pair:

We took Metro from Shady Grove to the middle of town and then just walked around. Here I am in front of the White House:

We went over to the new Nationals stadium to watch the game. Jeff took this picture of the mascots for me. For some reason, I laugh hysterically at oversized mascots...especially mascots with oversized heads:

Here we are at the game:

It was tied at the end of nine innings and went all the way to 14 innings! We didn't leave the game until after midnight. Here's Jeff expressing how we both felt as we waited for the train back to Maryland:

It's good to be home and to have a day to get adjusted before going back to the office tomorrow. Kyle's been so fun today! He's taking another nap now. As soon as he wakes up, I'm going to try to get him into some of his new clothes for a fashion show.

That Nationals game went so late! Count your lucky stars that Metro runs late on the weekends.

And I couldn't agree more -- those super-sized mascots are hilarious!

Fun! Hey, we bought our car in Gaithersburg, MD! I've been there! We lived in Ellicott City, not terribly far away. I'm glad you've had fun doing the DC thing and everything over there. We never did get to Ocean City. I'm bummed!
